# 2. Walking or cycling to work improves well-being


1.      Swap: Give (one thing) and receive something else in exchange.

Ex: Swap one of your sandwiches for a cheese and pickle?

2.      Disruption: Disturbance or problems which interrupt an event, activity, or process, the scheme was planned to minimize disruption.

Ex: There had been no delays or disruptions to flights

3.      Psychological: Relating to psychology.

Ex: Psychological research

4.      Preferable: More desirable or suitable.

Ex: lower interest rates were preferable to higher ones

5.      Reinforce: Strengthen or support (an object or substance), especially with additional material.

Ex: The helmet has been reinforced with a double layer of cork.


I like the way the Oxford Dictionary shows. It gives clear and definite explanations of words. The example sentences it provide also let people know more about words they don’t know. It really help people learn new words effectively.
